PRESS RELEASE - AdaptARC OrbitMASTER Software Release

Tri Tool is pleased to announce the release of the latest version of the OrbitMASTER controller software, WeldHost, Version 1.64 on May 07, 2014.


In addition to several fixes and improvements, the new features included in this release are:

• AVC Sensing for FCAW and GMAW processes (i.e. CV_AVC)
  • Eliminates amperage fluctuations due to inconsistent CTWD
  • Assures adherence to WPS amperage limitations
• Real-time Heat input calculation
  • Simplifies record keeping with automatic heat input calculation
  • Provides the ability to detect non-conformance with the WPS in real time
• Miller Big Blue® 800 Duo power source compatibility
  • Enables the operation of two independent weld heads from one power source (four with two additional power sources powered by generator outputs)
  • Eliminates the need for a generator
  • Reduces truck-bed footprint, noise and fuel consumption
  • Reduces process costs and increases efficiency
• RMD™ with Miller PipePro™ 450 RFC power source compatibility*
  • Provides significant cost reduction due to elimination of internal purge requirements for some applications
  • Potentially  increases deposition and reduces project costs

  * Note: the Miller PipePro 450 RFC power source is no longer available from Miller. This software feature only applies to customers who already own this power source. Also, a special power source interface cable is required (Tri Tool PN is 79-0307)

• Weld head configuration selection
• Configurable Gas/Coolant Sensor Feedback and Control

One feature was removed:

• Wire Reverse weld program command is no longer supported
